About SWA
Sinarmas World Academy (SWA) is a new and unique school that embraces the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century to provide an outstanding educational experience for students Nursery (2-3 year olds) - Grade 12.
SWA opened in July 2008 with the final phase of campus development in progress.

Toddler : 11.00 am - 1.00 pm
Nursery : 7.30 am - 10.30 am
Pre-Kindergarten : 7.30 am - 12.10 pm
Kindergarten - Grade 12 : 7.30 am - 2.45 pm
School Holidays
SWA observes Indonesian public holidays and has mid-term breaks and three weeks mid-December to mid January. The school year begins during August each year and ends approximately mid-June (calendar dates varies slightly from year to year). Download School Calendar 2010 - 2011
International Baccalaureate Programmes
As an IB World School, SWA offers all three International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes- IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), and IB Diploma Programme (DP) to provide a seamless and well-articulated education experience that is international and focuses on inquiry, problem solving and communication skills.
The IB programmes develop successful, confident, balanced, young people who are responsible, global citizens. These programmes provide for a holistic education focusing on Languages, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, IT and Technology, the Arts and Health and Physical Education. All SWA students are expected to be involved with action and community service.
English, Indonesian and Chinese Languages 
At SWA, English is the main language of instruction with emphasis also on Indonesian and Chinese Mandarin. Sinarmas World Academy IB programmes incorporate the requirements of the Indonesian National Curriculum and also provide courses of study in world religions and character education.
Supportive Environment
SWA teachers are recruited based not only on their skills and experience, but also on their commitment to being caring, supportive and student centered. A broad range of teaching and learning services are also provided to further enhance this supportive environment including ESOL, Learning Support, Library and ICT.

SWA takes full advantage of the rich learning resources that Indonesia and the region provides, embracing Asia as a platform for learning. Incorporating the local environment as a context for learning helps create meaningful and relevant learning experiences for students. Field trips and guest speakers bring life to inquiry, problem solving and community service. The SWA Values include respect for family, elders, education and self. The SWA Personal Qualities include many characteristics that are highly valued in Asian cultures and around the world, such as caring, responsibility, honesty, integrity, commitment and diligence.

SWA is a world-class school not only in terms of curriculum and methods but also with state of the art technology and facilities.
Wireless mobile technology provides maximum flexibility in incorporating ICT as a core literacy and as an integral tool in learning, creativity and communicating. Students in Grade 4 - 12 are provided with laptops.
SWA has worked with leading education architects to design a ‘school as a learning community’ and create an exemplary learning environment. The campus is spacious and is set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens including the ES Adventure Playground and Maze and in the MSHS the Xi Xin Yuan Park with bell pagoda and landscaped reflection pools and outdoor ampitheater. Each building or learning community, has been designed to meet the developmental needs of each age group.
At the heart of the school is the Arts Center which houses SWA Administration; Admissions; Trini Dewi Theater; Dance, Drama and Music Studios; Exhibition Gallery; Bamboo Court; Lotus Lounge; iQ Bar (laptop accessories and service) and Shop.
The school is well equipped for sporting activities with a sports and soccer field; Elementary Gymnasium and basketball courts; Sports & Aquatics Center which features the MSHS Gymnasium and basketball courts; fitness center; dance and aerobics studio; two swimming pools and the Sports Cafe.
The Da Vinci Design, Art and Technology Center is also scheduled to open in October 2011.
