Expectations and Agreements
SWA is a school that places great importance on providing a caring and supportive environment and believes that it is important for all staff, students and parents to model respectful and caring behavior and attitudes.
This also extends to a healthy, safe environment and lifestyle and to respect and show courtesy for all support and service staff who are also members of the Sinarmas World Academy community. Students are expected to respect and maintain their own property, that of others and the school. Students are expected to follow schools behavior expectations and the laws of Indonesia including those relating to theft and illegal substances.
Student and Parent Expectations and Agreements
As a member of the SWA Community, students and parents should agree to the following expectations:
Attendance and Communication
Students are expected to attend school everyday and participate in required school sponsored field trips and activities.
Students should arrive at school between 7.00am-7.25am each day. If a student cannot attend school due to illness, injury or other reason, the parents are required to notify the school section secretary by phone before 7.30am. This should be followed with a written and signed note from the parent, when the student returns to school. Where a student is returning from an illness/absence, the student and/or parents should meet with his/her teacher to check regarding missed work or assignments.
During school hours, no students are permitted to exit the school campus without written permission from the school section Principal. Permission to leave, will only be given after receiving a visit, call or letter from parents explaining the time and reason for student to leave school.
Messages from home to students should be conveyed through the school section receptionist. Maids and drivers are not permitted to enter classrooms.
Academic Honesty
SWA encourages students to strive for excellence and to conduct themselves with academic honesty. Personal integrity and mutual trust are of utmost importance.
School Uniform
School uniforms are required to be worn at all times during the school day, except where advised otherwise by the school for special events/excursions. The uniform should be worn as a whole and not supplemented by non-uniform items. Plain black shoes and white socks are required as part of the uniform.
Physical Education (PE) uniforms and sports shoes are required to be worn during PE classes and at sporting events. Sports shoes are also required. If students consistently choose not to work within the expectations of the SWA Community, their admission at SWA may be suspended or discontinued.

These include but are not limited to the use of tobacco, alcohol, chemical substances, illegal drugs, theft and threats to physical and emotional safety. These are outlined in the SWA Behavior Guidelines – Expectations and Consequences.
