All teaching and learning is underpinned by inquiry. To enhance both teaching and learning, SWA provides multimedia resources, technology tools and library services.
SWA provides excellent opportunities for students to explore digital literacy skills and digital tools. From the crafting of words into a work of art using word processing skills, to composing and recording a multi-track musical or videoing problem-solving skills in a physical education class, technology used for the right purpose enhances learning and achievement.
The SWA approach challenges students and teachers to go beyond the obvious appeal of technology to actively exploring and developing digital literacy skills and tools for high level thinking, research, communication, socialization and self-management.
SWA provides a range of student and support services to assist students in their learning, social development and to prepare for life after school.
The Library/Media Center supports the information and recreational reading needs of the SWA community and provides the resources to support the development of information and digital literacy.

• Access - to access information within and beyond the school
• Service - to ensure that library users are supported and welcome
• Information Resources - to provide a wide variety of information resources including extensive use of ICT
• Environment - to offer a stimulating and comfortable environment for the SWA community to share
The Library/Media Center, which comprises two libraries - the Elementary School Library and the Middle School/High School Library connected by an overhead skybridge - is located in the Administration/Performing Arts building at the heart of the campus, offering an extensive collection of resources including books, posters, videos, DVD’s and magazines.
In keeping with SWA’s belief that the library is central to the development of information literacy in a variety of media, the library center also houses computers, i-pods and digital equipment, all of which are available to enrich teaching and learning opportunities. The Library/Media Center also includes collections in Indonesian and Chinese. Parents are welcome to use the library center.
