SWA ES STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN SINGAPORE ICE DRAGONS HOCKEY CLASSIC

Oliver (Grade 3) and Liam (Grade 4) enjoyed their first U10 ice hockey tournament of the season representing Indonesia in the Singapore Ice Dragon Classic this past weekend at the JCube. Both players played well up against some strong competition and finished with a 1-3 record after a strong start to the tournament in beating Singapore 6-0. Liam also took Star of the Game honours in the game against Bangkok Yaksa for his strong defensive efforts.

There was a total of 8 teams participating in the U10 division and 32 teams overall in the annual tournament were from all over SE Asia including Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the hosts, Singapore.

We are very proud of both their individual and team accomplishments. The team lost in the semi-finals of the Silver Cup to a strong Australian team and we look forward to upcoming tournaments in Bangkok, and China this season.

If your child(ren) is interested in playing the fast growing sport of ice hockey please feel free to visit the programme operators at the Bintaro XC rink or contact Chris Warren for more details.
