Outstanding Awards

On Wednesday, 17 May 2017, a total of 19 Grade 6 to 8 students participated in the Canadian Gauss Mathematics Contest while 22 students from Grade 9 to 11 participated in the Canadian Fryer, Galois and Hypatia Mathematics Contest, which was held at Sinarmas World Academy, last Thursday, 13 April 2017. The competition which is run by the Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) at University of Waterloo Canada is used as a way to gauge student skills and understanding against the rest of the world. There were over 84,000 students from Grade 6 to 8 and over 63,000 Grade 9 to 11 students from around the world participated in this year’s Mathematics competitions. The CEMC develops many internationally recognised contests to help inspire the next generation of students and develop an interest in Mathematics.
