To showcase innovation taking place in student project, competition and EX work at SWA and build an inter-school community focusing on how students can be inspired and empowered in discovering and implementing innovative solutions to real-world problems. Develop student confidence in public speaking, planning presentations and also provide experiences for students to discuss on their college applications and interviews.
Students will also be involved in planning and carrying out the event which will develop required skills such as event planning, delegation of tasks and taking on leadership roles.

This year SWA hosted its second annual TEDxYouth@SWA event on February 23rd, 2019 in the Trini Dewi Theatre. The theme of this year’s event explored the origin and interaction of innovative ideas both from local voices within our community and internationally, bringing new ideas to public attention in the spirit of promoting ideas worth spreading. TEDxYouth@SWA 2019 was fully planned and organised by students and faculty of SWA and operated under an annual license granted by TED. We congratulate all of the speakers, but especially our SWA speakers Mr Ben, Mr Chris, Ayden (Grade 6), Vacya (Grade 8) and Hyun Seo (Grade 11) for their exceptional performances! Talks are currently being edited and will be uploaded to the TEDx Youtube channel very soon!
