Rolling in Good Fortune: SWA's Lunar New Year Dumpling Party
Jakarta, Indonesia, February 5, 2026 — During the last week of January, something deliciously special simmered over at Sinarmas World Academy! In our Masterchef Kitchen, our incredible parents rolled up their sleeves, tied on their aprons, and turned simple flour and filling into hundreds of plump, fortune-filled dumplings.
More than a simple cooking session, it was SWA’s flavourful welcome to this year’s Lunar New Year, where laughter echoed through the kitchen and families gathered around tables.
What everyone did not expect was when our students burst into the kitchen! With eager hands and curious smiles, they dived into the art of making dumplings. Some came out perfectly pleated, others wonderfully wonky, but every single one carries their own personality into the mix.
Beyond the delicious bites, this experience shone light on what makes the SWA community so special. As SWA steps closer to Lunar New Year, this event is a beautiful reminder that this season is not just about traditions; it’s about togetherness, shared joy, and creating core memories.
