Sinarmas World Academy Achieves Best Sustainability Initiative (K-12) at EDUtech Asia 2025, Singapore
Jakarta, Indonesia, November 6, 2025 — Sinarmas World Academy (SWA) proudly celebrates after winning the prestigious award of the Best Sustainability Initiative (K–12) at the EDUtech Asia 2025 Awards in Singapore.
The award honours SWA’s student-led initiative, OceanVoyager. Developed under the school’s RoboKnights programme, OceanVoyager is a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) aimed at restoring coral reefs affected by rising ocean temperatures.
The project extends beyond technology, embedding environmental stewardship into authentic, hands-on learning. Through partnerships with local conservation organisations and marine researchers, students participated in reef research, biodiversity surveys, and public awareness campaigns to reduce coastal pollution.
