The Cookie, the Kindness, and the Little Girl Who Saved the Day

Jakarta, Indonesia, February 18, 2026 — Once upon a Friday, Alvaro and his mother found themselves waiting for EX time at the Arts Lobby. There, they met Yun Ji, who was holding a tray of Love Cookies. With a bright smile, she invited them to visit the Koi building, where more treats awaited.

So off they went, mother and son, hand in hand, curious and cookie-hunting.

At the entrance, they were gently stopped. The security guard explained that only students were allowed inside. Alvaro could enter, but his mother could not.

Just as they stood there, unsure of what to do, Yun Ji appeared. She confidently said parents were allowed inside and immediately ran off to double-check. Moments later, she returned with confirmation from a teacher that entry was permitted.

Obstacle one, solved.

Alvaro and his mother joined the queue, but when they reached the front of the line, the cookies were sold out.

Again, Yun Ji was there to the rescue. “I’ll find my sister,” she said, running off once again. Shortly after, she returned with a cookie and handed it to Alvaro. When his mother asked how much to pay, Yun Ji simply shook her head and whispered, "That’s okay, it’s free for you.”

Sometimes, the sweetest lessons are wrapped in the smallest gestures. With these simple acts of kindness, Yun Ji showed initiative, empathy, and responsibility beyond her years. Moments like this reflect the character intentionally nurtured at Sinarmas World Academy, where students are empowered to grow not only in academic excellence but also in character.

And yes, the Love Cookie was happily and quickly finished!
