Student Council

Student CouncilSWA’s Student Council, abbreviated as STUCO, works to their full extent to achieve their yearly changing vision and mission. In October of every year, a new group of executives are selected, and consequently, the new batch of class representatives is formed.

 Junior Stuco

The Junior Student Council is a group of students from Grades 3 to 5 who are annually selected based on leadership skills, academic performance, and passion to help others. They lead projects that improve and serve the community within and outside Sinarmas World Academy.

Under a new departmental format where student council representatives have an opportunity to try various jobs and duties across event management, operations, marketing and finance. The 2017-2018 MSHS Executive and Representatives have launched new house challenges, school events, and fundraisers to raise school spirit and engage with the local community.  The STUCO will continue to be the pride of SWA and act upon the voices of the student body to ensure that their time at SWA is memorable and meaningful.

Junior Stuco AY 2020 - 2021

September 24, 2020

The first month of school was an adjustment for all, but the ES students quickly adapted to the demands of the new academic year. The students showed impressive speed and stamina, and many were ready to join the Junior Student Council (Jr. Stuco), as soon as the applications opened. We were pleased with the courage and determination, displayed by the students from Grades 3-5. They were all up for the responsibilities and showed willingness to serve.

Due to the limited seats, the final line up has been decided, based on the election, held last August 31st, a series of interviews, and careful deliberation. While the limited seats only allowed a few to be officially selected for this year’s Jr. Stuco, we are pleased to announce that as early as now, we already have some students who will be trained and supported by the teachers and counsellors to better prepare them for their future leadership roles.

MSHS STUCO VALENTINE’S DAY KARAOKE HOUSE CHALLENGE

MSHS STUCO VALENTINE’S DAY KARAOKE HOUSE CHALLENGE

February 14, 2019

This past  Valentine’s day (14 February, 2019) the MSHS students came together for the 3rd annual STUCO Karaoke House Challenge to celebrate love and care within our students and faculty where each house had to perform four Valentine’s-themed songs with different members from their respective Houses.  Judges had a tough challenge ahead of them to select from the variety of creative, synchronized and humorous love song renditions.

To complement this activity, the SWA Marketing department sponsored a Album Cover challenge for the selected karaoke songs where members of the 4 Houses (Paus, Elang, Gajah, and Komodo) had to design creative album covers for their respective karaoke songs.  The students were then requested to post these album covers on Instagram to promote their designs. The preliminary judges panel of teachers selected 6 finalists of the 16 entries which were then submitted to management for final judging.

Joyful Around the World Concert

December 20, 2018

Our annual holiday concert on Thursday, 20th of December 2018 with the theme “Joyful Around the World”, organized by Timbre. This event will give opportunity to all MSHS students from G6 to G12 to be involved and perform so they may showcase their talents in the collaboration of singing, playing musical instruments and dancing. We will also raise donations for the local orphanage as we will start collecting the donations from SWA students, starting from 10th of December until 18th of December 2018. These donations will be donated to the less fortunate children in Tunas Mahardika orphanage.

The Hour of Code

The Hour of Code

December 10, 2018

The Hour of Code – SWA MSHS Computing Day was organized on December 10th, 2018.  The purpose of this event was to offer students with activities centered on coding and computational thinking to inspire our students’ future with the wonders and possibilities of Computer Science.

Students participated in several fun-filled activities. They all enjoyed synchronizing dance moves with music and coded dance, featuring Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and many more!  The most exciting part of this event was the grand finale of FIFA E-Sports finals played in the TD Theater. The match was projected on the big screen and the theater environment was nothing less than a real stadium with super excited spectators.  Students also enjoyed watching the winning dance compositions on the big screen from the morning’s Hour of Code challenge.
